OK, so maybe not. But Strange Brew is one of my favorite movies, and I completely forgot about the homemade film that opens the movie. Click below for that post-apocalyptic classic, "Mutants of 2051 AD."
Beauty, eh?

ReplyDeleteTops the "Canadian hoser" category!
I had totally forgotten about that opening! Surprisingly, there's a lot of good source material in there too.
ReplyDeleteI loved Strange Brew!
ReplyDeleteOne of the highlights of my high school education was when I discovered that Strange Brew was a pseudo-re-telling of Hamlet. Beauty.
ReplyDeleteAbsolute genius. Thanks for that reminder.
ReplyDeleteNot much mutant future but if you want to see the next gen of Canadian hoser movies, you all definitely need to check out FUBAR. It's a beauty on par with Strange Brew.
I remember the first time I saw that, great memories!
ReplyDeleteAh man. I fondly remember driving through the Peace Bridge tolls where our friend worked for some high alcohol content, underage beer to bring back to Buffalo... good times. This movie always brings back the memories.
